What Is the Career Conversion Programme?

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) is a government-backed scheme under Workforce Singapore that helps businesses hire or reskill mid-career professionals into new or significantly redesigned roles.

Unlike most grants, CCP covers both new hires AND existing employees — as long as their role has changed substantially in scope, skills, or function. This makes it one of the most versatile and underutilised funding tools available to Singapore employers.

Who Is Typically Eligible?

  • Singapore-registered companies hiring or reskilling Singapore Citizens or PRs
  • Roles that are newly created or redesigned with at least 50% change in job content
  • Mid-career individuals aged 21 and above moving into new or expanded roles
  • Staff who are not shareholders or immediate family members of company directors

    No — this is one of the most common misconceptions. CCP also covers existing staff whose roles have been significantly redesigned, with at least 50% change in job scope. If you have recently promoted or restructured team members, they may already qualify.
